This is Patek Philippe's Calatrava 6196P, a much talked about model that was just unveiled at the watch festival WATCHES AND WONDERS 2025 held in April this year.

The Calatrava is the watch that was featured in the first issue of this series , and even though it has been almost 100 years since its birth, it still captivates watch lovers today. It embodies the Bauhaus spirit of "function determines form."

The key to this watch is the vintage-like dial that tickles the masculine heart. This is achieved by the rose gold plating, which has an exquisite tone that can be described as cocoa color. This is combined with the white gold hour markers and hands covered in gray, and the very modest small second hand to create a dignified look.

The case is made of 38mm platinum. It is neither too big nor too small, and when the light hits the bezel, this watch subtly asserts its presence.
