04. A feeling of admiration for people who have created something on their own.

I entered Dokkyo High School in Mejiro and wanted to join a sports club, but the grounds and gym were too small. I realized that I couldn't join a sports club, so after school I would mostly go to Roppongi or Akasaka. My destination was discos. But I wasn't a delinquent or flashy type, I was serious about dancing. I was like an "athletic dance club" type (laughs). When I went to discos, I would dress like a black person. I saw black musicians and dancers wearing flared pants on "Soul Train" and tried to find something similar.
