03. My baptism of fashion in middle and high school.
New York had a strong impact on me as a place of anti-war sentiment, hippie culture, and music, but when I was in elementary school, I returned to Japan and moved to Aoyama. At the time, Aoyama was dominated by VAN. In addition to the headquarters and boutique, there were also shops selling kitchen tools and houseplants, and the store offered not only fashion but also lifestyle-related products.
