09 A style that developed while challenging convention.
In the early days of UNDERCOVER, Jonio (Jun Takahashi), for whom I was making shoes for shows, would cut up existing materials and modify them. At the time, I was preparing for GENERAL RESEARCH, and this made me think, "This is the right way to do things." It was very reassuring.
