Whether it's fashion, music, or sports, there is a style that only each person can express in any genre. "Style is Everything." That's right, someone once said that style is everything. "Style Resume" is a series of interviews with adults who, as the name suggests, have style, and is updated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Our 15th guest is Setsumasa Kobayashi, representative of <. . . . .RESEARCH>, a man who follows his own path in everything from outdoor activities to custom bikes.

11. A mountain base decided by divine timing.

Aono Toshimitsu of Spectator (editor-in-chief of the magazine) gave me a copy of Baron Mabel's Backpacking Textbook, saying, "The translator is interesting." The translator was Yoshio Tabuchi (a naturalist writer, now deceased). At the time, I was looking around various places to set up a base in the mountains, and Tabuchi lived in Kawakami Village, Nagano Prefecture, and had written an essay about the village. So I thought, "Let's go to Kawakami Village!" And that's how it all began.
