"Style Resume" is a series of interviews with adults who literally have style. Updated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the eighth installment features photographer Osamu Nagahama. His subjects are people who go beyond the norm of the world and live their lives to the fullest, and he explores the values ​​that he has been looking into for more than half a century.

06. Volunteered to be Yoshihiro Tachiki's 24-hour assistant.

I was assigned to the third production department at the Ad Center. The boss was Seiichi Horiuchi, the photographer was Yoshihiro Tachiki, the designer was Isao Kaneko, who would later launch PINK HOUSE, the editor was Yasuhiko Kobayashi (illustrator and essayist), and the sales person was Yusuke Ishizu (second son of Kensuke Ishizu, founder of VAN). Looking back, I realized that we were a great bunch of people. I was like an assistant to everyone in this department. I did all sorts of things without thinking, just saying "yes, yes." Thanks to that, I was able to learn about magazine production, the structure of magazine advertising, and how to interact with clients, which I didn't need to remember as a photographer, and it was fun and useful later on. There was a young art director in this department who would later become my best friend, and I learned a lot from his work.
