11. In the 1980s, I returned to work soon after giving birth.
I got married in 1979 at the age of 23 and gave birth to twins in 1981. My husband was the kind of person who would go abroad on a whim, so people around me called him "International Tora-san." I was worried about our finances, so I thought "I have to earn money," and quickly returned to work after giving birth. I gave birth to my daughter in 1987 and we got divorced in 1991, but I think it was because of my husband that I was able to continue my career and not retire. Well, I guess I was in a situation where I had no choice but to do it (laughs).
