Whether it's fashion, music, or sports, there is a style that only each person can express in any genre. "Style is Everything." That's right, someone once said that style is everything. "Style Resume" is a series of interviews with adults who, as the name suggests, have style, and is updated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In this 16th installment, we will consider what it means to live with art through the life of Mick Itaya, a visual artist who has worked on the original logo for Uniqlo and whose cassette magazine "TRA" is permanently preserved at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

13. Art and design are all forms of expression.

When I published "PRESENT," I wasn't able to exhibit it in Tokyo, but in 1995, I held a large-scale exhibition at Laforet Harajuku in conjunction with the publication of my poetry and art collection, "Apollonia Odyssey" (Korinsha). In the 2000s, I began selling my mirror work series under the name "Mic*Itaya Mirrors," and released "SUZUMO Paper Lanterns" and the soft vinyl art piece "UNISUS PPF," but I realized that "who is reaching out to whom" is extremely important. I feel a similar challenge in communicating the traditional crafts of Ibaraki, which I help promote.
