In 1984, we rented a prefabricated hut on the roof of a building in Namikibashi, and Ijima Kaoru ended up renting the second floor of the same building as his studio. Hajime Anzai (illustrator, art director, soramimist) also lived there, and it truly was a city that never slept. It was like people of the same generation were tacitly encouraging each other, with the feeling that "If this guy can do this much, then we can too."
