Whether it's fashion, music, or sports, there is a style that only each person can have in any genre. "Style is Everything." That's right, someone said that style is everything. "Style Resume" is a series of interviews with adults who literally have style. Updated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the commemorative 10th installment features Matsutoya Masataka, who is known for his wide-ranging activities as a musician, but is also known as a lover of cars, watches, and fashion. Let's learn about Matsutoya Masataka's style from his words and photos in a total of 13 installments in June.

06. In high school, I didn't care what I did as long as I could play in a band.

The first band I formed in middle school played college folk music. It was just a sort of imitation of a band, and I didn't really think of it as a band until I entered high school.

I have had perfect pitch since I was little, and because of that special skill I was able to immediately understand how to make chords and their sounds. That was useful and interesting in every band. As I mentioned before, classical and pop music were different things to me, and I thought of them as different as one being "music" and the other being "music", but around this time I found the fun in each.
