04. Cameras, fountain pens, watches–what sparked my interest in things.

My interest in things started with cameras. At that time, it was common to bring a camera on school trips, and when I started elementary school, I was given a Fujipet film with Brownie film. After a while, half-size cameras like the Olympus Pen became all the rage, but I had the Fujipet and a Minolta twin-lens reflex camera that my parents gave me. One time, a teacher at my school brought a single-lens reflex camera to a school trip, and the shutter sound was so cool. I wanted it no matter what.
