10. The biggest souvenir from my first time in London was discovering the Queen.
As I was nearing graduation, in 1973, I went to London for the first time. I was with someone in charge of Western music at Warner Pioneer Corporation (now Warner Music Japan), and our main purpose was to experience the Reading Festival.
During my two-week stay in London, I must have gone to a few live music venues at night, but for some reason I don't remember much about them (laughs). I don't even remember everything about the Reading Festival, which was my target, except for The Faces with Rod Stewart, Rory Gallagher, who I liked, and Status Quo.
