09. On my first visit to the US, I bought a bunch of treasures at a store I came across by chance.
I moved to Tokyo in 1977. My first home was a US military house in Akishima. At the time, I was doing a lot of work for companies like Coca-Cola, KFC, and McDonald's, and the pay was good. With the money I earned from these jobs, I visited America for the first time in 1978. I wasn't just a tourist, I wanted to see real military wear.
