When I discovered hip hop I was finally able to find a way to express myself, but it's not that I wanted to do hip hop when I first started, it's more that the method was the perfect fit for realizing my ideas.
After a while, Tiny Punks, Toshi-chan (Toshio Nakanishi, deceased) from MELON, Gota Yashiki, and KUDO started talking about starting a label together. This was MAJOR FORCE, which was founded in 1988. At that time, Hiroshi's interest in production had shifted from hip-hop to house, but I was fascinated by the fun of making songs with sampling and loops, so I had more opportunities to produce with Toshi-chan and KUDO.
