Porter Classics incorporates traditional Japanese techniques in its manufacturing, and one of the reasons for this was a piece of clothing I came across at an antique market in the suburbs of Boston. There was a worn-out kendo uniform, and the moment I saw it, I thought, "God has given me a chance." I thought, "Thanks to this worn-out uniform, I can make something amazing again." Just like my father, I think that the idea that even if other people don't think much of something, if I do it in this way, I can use it in my own manufacturing has been passed down to me and my son, Reo. After all, you can't let your eye for things get rotten.
