My father was a heavy drinker, and when I was in the early grades of elementary school, he would make me go buy alcohol, carrying an empty 1.8L bottle. I hated that. That and the fact that I was always going out a lot from a young age and didn't spend much time at home, meant that I just wanted to get out of the house as soon as possible, no matter what.
