11. Run a store using only the items you collect yourself.
After leaving "Backdrop" on good terms in 1986, I joined BIGI Co., Ltd. through an acquaintance and worked there for two years. During that time, I would go to America every time I had a day off and buy things I liked. I bought unsold sneakers from all over the country in Japan and stored them in a room I rented as a warehouse. By the way, I named the store "Labrador Retriever" because I thought it was a dog that would appeal to Americans. The name just came naturally to me.
