4. I was fascinated by the cool suits worn by black jazz musicians.
I chose Bunka Gakuin's Art Department because I got tired of studying at school when I was attending Gyosei High School (laughs). I didn't know if I would find something, but I thought I'd go to the art department anyway. I've loved drawing since I was a child, but I think it was more that I had ideas rather than that I was good at it, and I think that kind of imagination may have led to my later work.
