My favorite restaurant. Vol.6 Tomochika "Tuna Shabu-shabu Specialty Restaurant Shibi"
I travel all over the country for concerts, TV show recordings, and comedy shows, but the joy of my business trips is the local cuisine. My rule is to always search online to find a delicious restaurant. There are three conditions I cannot overlook when choosing a restaurant: ingredients, broth, and cleanliness. That's it.
I am always picky about the restaurants I choose when I go on business trips, and I have a favorite restaurant in Nagoya.
I go to Nagoya every Saturday because the CBC TV show "Naruhodo Presenter! Hanasaka Times" is broadcast live, and sometimes I stay overnight. When I go there, I visit "Maguro Shabu Shabu Specialty Restaurant Shibi." This restaurant is in Sakae, and I've been going there for about 15 years.
I like to go with staff members, announcers, comedians, and other acquaintances from Nagoya, and we talk about anything from serious work topics to silly things, all while enjoying some drinks and savoring delicious tuna.
I always order the "Tuna Shabu-Shabu Course" which includes tuna shabu-shabu and a sashimi platter, and fried tuna. With shabu-shabu, the tuna melts beautifully in the mouth, and I'm always impressed that I can eat tuna as shabu-shabu. It has a different appeal from the negima nabe that is common in Tokyo. And the fried tuna is also excellent. It looks simpler than fried chicken, and has a thin batter. It's delicious because it has a strong flavor.
Because of this restaurant, I would like to stay in Nagoya about once a week if possible.
